SG2024 was introduced to develop network safety Located in Seoul, A University intends to raise talented personnel for world peace and human cultural development based on the ideal of teaching with love and seeking truth for the world. The University introduced SG2024 as a means of intranet stability project and is evaluated to be successful in an advanced security network construction.
• To solve frequent network accident by solving unstableness of intranet A University suffered from frequent network accident. Though there were many cases of network access troubles in research rooms or dormitory, the administrator in the computer room had difficulties in figuring out causes and finding solution. They even could not respond as the cause was unclear. At that moment, they reviewed SG2024 harmful traffic blocking solution and carried out large scale of stability project to change the whole intranet work group switch into SG2024. It was a great success that enabled the university to secure safe network condition.
Details of introduction
• Stable network system by blocking harmful traffic
A University needed network stability due to serious harmful traffic. In particular harmful traffic from engineering building caused whole network problem. There were frequent reports that no internet access was available in research rooms or dormitory. But, as there was no system to monitor internal cause with shortage of personnel, they could not check cause of harmful traffic. So, they decided to introduce a solution to pursue/block spots of troubles. But, they had difficulties in finding proper solutions. And then they came to review SG2024 as an integrated management system with high performance switch. The director of the computer room thought they had to test the solution in an actual environment for verifying completeness and reliability. Thus, we decided to test SG2024 in a part of intranet where there were the most serious problems
It was the engineering building. Thus, the director of the computer room decided to check the performance of SG2024.
No sooner had it been introduced, SG2024 began to detect and block ARP solution. A University could figure out the details of harmful traffic real-time via VNM. Thus, no more trouble was made after the installation of SG2024.
Thus, A University came to have a confident of SG2024 through actual test and decided to change whole switch to SG2024.
