HDN Announces New Security Switch Lineup
The company has introduced the next-generation security switches optimized for the cloud environment as well as security solutions that support IoT and Smart City/factory environments.
HDN(HanDreamnet Co., Ltd. www.handream.net), a leading company in the network security switch industry, has introduced new network security products of various lineups along with its business strategies for the future.
During the press conference held at Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas on the 10th, CEO Seo Hyeon Won announced that “HDN has fully developed the world’s first access-level network security switches, upgrading the competitiveness of Korea’s switch products in the 20th year after its foundation. We focused on developing a next-generation key technology for network, based on the company’s powerful and unrivaled MDS (multi-dimension security) security engine and succeeded in securing a lineup of solutions suited to new network environments such as cloud, IoT and Smart City.”
During the event, HDN introduced products such as ▲the cloud-optimized next-generation security switch “SubGate 2400 Series,” ▲the whitelist-based security switch “SG5026GX,” ▲the world’s first industrial security switch “Industrial SubGate 2000 Series,” ▲the intelligent failover switch “AFOS,” and ▲the MDS engine-based security access point “SubGate AP.”
In particular, the newly introduced modular-type security switch “SubGate 2400 Series” provides more stable network services with the improved hardware design that supports up to 56 ports and 10G of modular uplink, provides enhanced flash and built-in high-capacity memory, and supports low-power design using the green IT technology. The product implements a differentiated cloud technology with three key zero-touch functions, namely Auto Config Install, Auto Config Backup, and Auto Config Restore.
Applied to the network security solutions for the company’s various new products, the MDS (multi-dimension security) engine utilizes a behavior-based method of detecting malicious traffic and blocks malicious traffic that occurs within the levels 1 to 4 without any signature or pattern updates. It uses an outstanding technology for misdetection prevention, which provides excellent “zero day attack” effects and offers fast and stable “full wire speeds” while executing the security functions.
